Fertiliser manufacturers, water utilities and organics firms are among those calling on lawmakers to break a deadlock over a proposed new Fertilisers Regulation that the EU executive hopes will boost the use of organic and waste-based fertilisers.
Describing the proposal as a “flagship initiative of the Commission's circular economy package”, they called on national government and European Parliament lawmakers to overcome differences that have stalled 'trilogue' negotiations.
