The fuel supply sector has added its weight to the criticism from industry of the European Parliament’s decision last week to back stronger CO2 emission reduction targets for trucks and buses than those proposed by the European Commission.

An industry association representing 2,000 European importers and distributors of energy for the transport sector, UPEI, has warned that MEPs’ position could “undermine broader efforts to cut transport emissions”.
