Green MEP Bas Eickhout has been urged by fellow lawmakers to consider the impacts of his “ideological” proposal to target a 25% share of electric vehicles (EVs) in all sales by 2025.

On Thursday, members of the European Parliament’s transport committee voiced support for Eickhout’s recent proposal for a position on the EU low-emission mobility strategy, tabled by the European Commission last July.
