Danes publish sustainability indicators

EPA puts forward 117 measures of environmental progress after detailed public consultation

Denmark's environmental protection agency (EPA) has issued a set of 117 environmental indicators in connection with its national sustainable development strategy and preparations for the "Rio+10" sustainability summit in Johannesburg next year.

The indicators are meant to inform the public of environmental trends in a range of selected areas, from climate change and waste generation to traffic safety and habitat protection, the EPA said on Wednesday.
