Dutch advisors support "green transitions"

More emphasis urged on international cooperation, practical implementation of transitions plan

The official advisory body to the Dutch environment ministry (Vrom) has urged the government to put much more emphasis on securing international cooperation as it implements the fourth national environmental policy plan (NMP4) published in June (EED 14/06/01).

NMP4 pays lip service to international cooperation, the Vrom council says, but does not really acknowledge how far achievement of national environmental goals will depend on cooperation with other states, both in the EU and beyond.
