International energy agency proposes tailored approach to cutting greenhouse gas emissions after 2012

Options for dealing with burgeoning levels of greenhouse gas emissions beyond the life of the Kyoto protocol have been outlined in one of three new documents on climate change, published today by the International energy agency (IEA). The three documents are among a number being released by organisations in the run up to the eighth conference of the parties (COP-8) of the UN framework convention on climate change, starting next week in New Delhi.
