Norwegian industry association Pil attacked the European Commission on Tuesday after it identified firms in Norway as "the most polluting in Europe in their sectors" in a first review of the European industrial pollution inventory, Eper (EED 08/10/04).

The association has filed a complaint via Norway's EU delegation and has asked national pollution control authority SFT to look at issues raised by the incident.
