Organisers have expressed satisfaction with the first ever coordinated promotional campaign for the EU's Flower product ecolabel scheme, which ended on Sunday. The scheme's backers now want a substantial increase in EU and government funding of the Flower's promotion.
"Flower Week" involved 250 organisations across nine countries. All activities were aimed at increasing awareness of and support for the EU ecolabel amongst consumers and the general public. Follow-up surveys are to be carried out to test the week's impact.
