The Dutch EU presidency can be applauded for its work on greening the Lisbon agenda, and cutting Holland's backlog of environmental laws waiting to be implemented nationally, according to European environmental group EEB. However, assessing its "ten green tests" presented at the start of the Dutch presidency (EED 02/07/04), the EEB claims to have seen at best mixed results in the other areas it highlighted for action. The green group was particularly disappointed that the Netherlands did not push to link sustainable development and financial perspectives. See EEB report.
