The UK has pledged to halt the deterioration of its marine biodiversity and promote recovery "where practicable" as part of a five-point series of strategic goals to enhance marine nature conservation. The new goals are contained in a government response to a series of recommendations on the marine environment tabled by a multi-stakeholder panel last year.
