Partnership council approves expert recommendations to enhance information sharing

The EU and Russia agreed to strengthen their energy efficiency cooperation at a meeting in Moscow on Friday.  Senior officials attending the second meeting of the "permanent partnership council" approved a series of expert recommendations on sharing information and "enhancing mutual trust and confidence".  In a related development, 62 EU regional and local government bodies signed a declaration on energy efficiency and renewable energy at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday.  See European commission press release and expert reports.  See also local authorities’ declaration.
