Danish ministers "bowdlerised climate reports"

Newspaper quotes senior officials saying environment and finance ministers played politics with climate findings

Denmark's centre-right government has been accused by its researchers and officials of having "censored", toned down and obstructed scientific reports on climate change during the early years of its administration, Politiken newspaper reports.

"I gradually got used to texts I had written about global warming being buried or oversimplified", senior scientist Jes Fenger of the National environmental research institute told the newspaper, which describes him as "the principal author" of government publications on the subject.
