A series of high-level European meetings at the end of month must see the EU endorse a clear climate financing offer to shake up international climate talks, NGOs said on Friday as the latest round of negotiations in Bangkok ended without major progress.
EU heads of state and government are expected to "further elaborate" their position on financing at a summit in Brussels on 29-30 October, the Swedish EU presidency said following the Bankok meeting. Environment and finance ministers will meet a week earlier to lay the groundwork.
