Walking around the EU quarter of Brussels, the occasional ‘humorous’ bumper sticker insists “Comitology is a real word”. Microsoft’s spellchecker can be forgiven for not recognising a word coined by Brussels officials to describe a procedure that even expert EU-watchers find complex and arcane.
