Green campaigners' REACH blacklist grows longer

The International Chemicals Secretariat (ChemSec) has added 89 new substances to a blacklist of chemicals they say should be treated as "substances of very high concern" (SVHCs) under the REACH chemicals legislation.

This brings the number of chemicals on the "Substitute It Now" (SIN) list to 356. The new entries were added following an update of EU rules on the classification, labelling and packaging of chemicals (CLP) in September.
