EU states urged to increase energy tech funding

Member states must commit the funds needed to successfully implement the EU's Strategic Energy Technology (SET) plan, Swedish energy minister Maud Olofsson told a conference in Sweden on Wednesday.

The aim of the conference was to discuss how to mobilise additional funding to implement the SET plan. Earlier this month, the European Commission said energy funding across the EU would have to increase by €50bn over next 10 years.
