More sectors propose voluntary ecodesign standards

Producers of medical imaging equipment and machine tools have become the latest sectors to propose voluntary commitments to improve the efficiency of their products under the EU's ecodesign framework.

Medical imaging equipment producers are proposing to reduce the energy consumption of new ultrasound products by 6% between 2010 and 2012.
