European environment ministers meeting in Brussels on Monday will discuss what would constitute an acceptable deal on climate change for the EU in Copenhagen in December, an EU source told ENDS on Thursday.
They will try to pin down "the essentials without which we won't agree", the source said. The EU has set out a clear position for the international climate talks but "now we need to engage with the others" and lay down the red lines, the source added.
