There are no scientific grounds to doubt predictions in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)'s 2007 assessment report, Dutch environmental assessment agency PBL said on Tuesday. IPCC scenarios up to 2100 will remain valid, it says.
The message is designed to restore confidence in the science on climate change, following damaging revelations of malpractice among climatologists at the University of East Anglia. The scientist at the centre of the controversy stepped down pending on an investigation.
