EU to approve recovery funding for CCS and wind

The European Commission will formally approve the allocation of over €1.6bn in EU economic recovery funds to a series of carbon capture and storage (CCS) and offshore wind project in the coming weeks, ENDS has learned.

A shortlist of projects set to receive the funding was proposed by the commission in early October. The list is now likely to be approved without any changes after no major objections were raised by member states and MEPs, ENDS understands.
