Germany, Spain to drive EU wind power growth

Germany and Spain will continue to see the highest increase in installed wind power capacity in the next 12 years with an additional capacity of 25.1 and 23.3 gigawatts (GW) respectively, the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) has said.

The two countries will be closely followed by the UK (22.8 GW) and France (19.6 GW), according to EWEA estimates published in the association's Pure Power report on Friday. Over half of predicted growth for 2020 will come from these countries.
