Climate finance commitments made by EU member states and the European Commission to developing countries for the period 2010-12 so far amount to €2.18bn, according to a progress report adopted by European finance ministers on Tuesday.
Europe is "on track" to deliver the €2.4bn funding pledged by EU leaders last year to help combat climate change in the poorest countries, according to the report. A study had previously criticised member states for failing to make specific individual commitments.
