The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has released a long-awaited IT tool that companies can use to check substance registration dossiers are complete before sending them to the agency. Registration dossiers are a key requirement of the EU's REACH legislation.
The software, which works as a plug-in to the existing IUCLID-5 system, is designed to prevent a potentially high number of dossiers from being rejected because they are incomplete. Companies have called for such a tool for some time, and some said they would hold off on submitting dossiers until it was launched.
