Industry bemoans lack of clarity from UN summit

European business associations have dismissed the "Copenhagen Accord" that emerged from international climate talks this weekend, saying it fails to provide industry with the investment certainty needed to move to a low carbon economy.

The EU carbon price fell sharply in early trading on Monday as a result. Mark Lewis, head of global carbon market research at Deutsche Bank, said he expected the carbon price to remain depressed until the middle or end of February.
