Companies developing new energy technologies such as smart grids and smart meters launched the Smart Energy Demand Coaltion (SEDC) on Monday during a conference on the EU's Strategic Energy Technology (SET) plan in Brussels.
The industry group, which will be the first focusing on the consumer side of smart grids, includes founding members eMeter and VaasaETT as well as Landis+Gyr, EDF, and ENEL. It also includes groups such as the European Smart Meter Investment Group and the Peak Load Management Alliance.
