Paper makers to draw up low carbon roadmap

The EU paper manufacturing sector will within a year produce a roadmap on how the sector could slash its CO2 emissions over the next 40 years, trade association Cepi said on Wednesday at a meeting held in Brussels as part of European Paper Week.

The plan, expected to be presented to Cepi's members in June, will be developed in collaboration with the European Commission. The association hopes it will be able to influence work on the commission's roadmap for a low-carbon economy by 2050.
