EU firms advise on future environment policy

Environmental requirements must be implemented more evenly across Europe to put an end to the "unjustified disparity" in law implementation and enforcement causing market distortions, employers' association BusinessEurope said on Wednesday.

The remark is one of several recommendations for future EU environment policy issued by the association ahead of Belgian presidency conference on the issue on Thursday and Friday. The recommendations reflect experience gained by industry on environmental policymaking over the past decade, says BusinessEurope.
