Plans to reduce CO2 emissions from lorries and increase their fuel efficiency should take into account the specificities of these vehicles, an EU high level group on the competitiveness of the automobile sector said on Friday in an interim report.
The report, which refers to an earlier industry study on the sector's market structure, calls for an integrated approach based on an evaluation of lorries' current emissions and the adoption of efficiency improvements through a range of different measures.
