The EU might be willing to compromise on the date by which a future, globally binding climate deal must be agreed, climate commissioner Connie Hedegaard said on Wednesday. Talks on the green climate fund are also thought to be going well.
"Nothing is cut in stone," Ms Hedegaard said. "But... we are already being very patient in the European Union when we say 'at least by 2015'." She also said the EU has had "some really constructive conversations" with some of the worlds' biggest emitters.
