More firms report actions on sustainable palm oil

About 72% of those that must report on progress towards meeting their commitments under the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil have met their obligations

About 72% of the companies that must report on progress towards meeting their commitments under the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) have met their obligations, according to an RSPO report released this week.

This is an increase from 2011 when only 61% of firms with reporting obligations had met the requirement. However, the RSPO says the number of submissions remains low and adds it will consider measures to improve compliance.
