Denmark is the world’s best performing country at tackling climate change, according to a ranking of 58 states from campaigning groups Germanwatch and CAN Europe.
The ranking is based on the countries’ greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency and share of renewables and on their policies in these areas.
The policy assessments relied on evaluations by experts from NGOs in each of the 58 states, which together account for over 90% of the world’s emissions.
