Governments have agreed a new package of measures, the "Doha Gateway", aimed at reaching a global climate deal by 2015 for implementation in 2020.

The Qatari chair of this year’s UN climate talks also pushed through the text of a renewed Kyoto Protocol on Saturday night to bring this year’s UN climate talks to a close.

Work under the Durban Platform

Under last year's Durban Platform, governments agreed to reach a new global climate deal by the end of 2015. In Doha, they tackled how to get to that deal.
