Changes to environmental legislation in areas such as biocide approvals will cut the administrative burden on businesses by about €302.7m

Changes to environmental legislation in areas such as biocide approvals and electronic waste will cut the administrative burden on businesses by about €302.7m once they have been fully implemented, says the EU executive.

The changes have been adopted in recent years as part of a programme to reduce red tape. The programme targeted 72 legislative acts in 13 priority areas including environmental legislation, cohesion policy and company law.
