Hedegaard confident CCS projects will get funding

The climate commissioner believes some CCS projects will be able to meet eligibility criteria when the second round of EU funding is launched next year

Some carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects that missed out on NER300 funding will be able to meet eligibility criteria when the second round of grants is launched next year, the EU climate commissioner believes.

The EU executive has decided to speed up the launch of the second call for proposals, Connie Hedegaard told journalists on Tuesday. "Whether that will be in January or February or March, I can only say it will be as soon as it is possible," she said.
