The European Commission has dropped a proposal to ban sales of certain industrial refrigerators and freezers containing HFCs, it emerged on Wednesday as the EU executive unveiled its draft regulation on F-gases.

In a draft version of the proposal leaked to the press several weeks ago, the commission proposed banning all industrial systems with a capacity above 100 kilowatt by the end of the decade.
