Cobalt compounds face REACH restrictions

Cobalt compounds used for surface treatment face restrictions under annex XVII of the REACH chemical regulation, according to a draft EU regulation

Cobalt compounds used for surface treatment face restrictions under annex XVII of the REACH chemical regulation, according to a draft European Commission regulation sent to the Council of Ministers this week.

Companies wanting to use the substances appearing in this annex, which is more commonly known as the authorisation list, must seek EU approval first.
