Europe’s chemicals industry hopes the EU-US trade talks will be used as an opportunity to cut the complexity and cost of chemicals regulation.

Speaking at a stakeholder conference on the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) on Wednesday, Lena Perenius of industry association Cefic insisted the chemicals industry was not trying to alter either region’s regulations.
