Portugal is prepared to block the EU’s 2030 energy and climate package if member states do not agree binding targets for electricity interconnections, the energy and environment minister said.

Jorge Moreira da Silva said on Saturday that “Portugal cannot accept a 2030 climate and energy package which doesn’t include agreement to urgently rescue the failed target of 10% interconnection and to set a binding target of at least 15%”.
