Signage displays commonly used in advertising have been added to the list of product groups for which new ecodesign requirements could be set.

Such displays were previously discussed as a part of a wider displays regulation on TVs and monitors, but industry has asked the product group to be treated as a separate item.

Signage displays are used in public areas, both indoors and out, often for the purposes of advertising or displaying information.
