EU environment ministers will discuss stronger action on endocrine disruptors and other hazardous chemicals later this month.
The talks may help some countries’ push for more urgent EU action on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), including the European Commission’s overdue definition of these, according to Denmark.
The Environment Council agenda is still being developed, but the draft includes a point on information from the countries which signed a recent letter on key issues on chemicals on the road to a "non-toxic Europe", a Council spokesperson confirmed. The meeting takes place on 17 December.
