Countries’ emission reduction pledges for the global climate deal will not be subject to a review process before next year’s summit in Paris, negotiators have agreed.
Each country will have to go beyond its “current undertaking” on emissions reduction, it was decided after two weeks of talks in Lima, Peru.
The ‘Lima Call for Climate Action’ contains few obligations on the content of the pledges and no strict deadline.
