The EU’s draft waste law will be replaced with new proposals next year, while a major air pollution proposal will also be altered, the European Commission has confirmed.
Withdrawing the update of waste targets and policies tabled as part of the circular economy package will “make way for a broader and more ambitious proposal”, Commission vice-president Frans Timmermans told MEPs as he presented the 2015 work programme.
