EU ministers have adopted the EU’s climate pledge towards a new international agreement without taking a stance on the role of forestry offsetting.

Environment ministers on Friday agreed to submit to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) the target of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40% on 1990 levels by 2030.
