EU environment ministers look set to push for weaker national air pollution limits when they vote on their joint position for upcoming negotiations with MEPs on Wednesday.

The EU Council’s draft position on the National Emission Ceilings Directive would increase the 2030 emission limits for most countries for all air pollutants covered by the Directive relative to the European Commission’s 2013 proposal.
