A coalition of countries pushing for stronger chemicals regulation in the EU will use Wednesday’s Environment Council meeting to call on the next EU presidencies to take this agenda forward

A coalition of countries pushing for stronger chemicals regulation in the EU will use Wednesday’s Environment Council meeting to call on the next EU presidencies to take this agenda forward.

The recent conference organised by the REACH-up initiative gave a “clear signal that actions to improve implementation and chemical safety are necessary”, Luxembourg and other countries said in a note circulated ahead of the ministers’ meeting. Luxembourg is the current holder of the rotating presidency.
