Countries at the EU Council have shifted their position on the deadline for bringing in energy labelling so it is closer to that of the European Parliament ahead of talks tomorrow (Tuesday).

But the EU Council is still pushing to lengthen the timeframe for manufacturers to adapt to new label requirements, ENDS has learned.

The EU Council recently sent EU institutions an updated proposal for the dates when, it believes, the existing A+, A++, A+++ system should be replaced with the new, A-to-G scheme.
