Developed countries will seek additional private finance to deliver on the global pledge to raise $100bn of climate finance a year by 2020, a roadmap published on Monday showed.

Pledges made in 2015 could push the amount of public funding provided close to $67bn by 2020,  according to the document. It quoted OECD figures that public funds mobilised to help developing countries reduce emissions and adapt to climate change increased from $38bn in 2013 to $43bn in 2014.
