The UK has dropped down to 14th place in an index measuring how attractive countries are to renewables investors, reflecting months of political turmoil that have cast a shadow over the member state's renewables sector.

The position represents an all-time-low for the UK in the index of 40 countries, produced by consultancy EY, and comes amidst uncertainty caused by the country’s decision to leave the EU. It is also in sharp contrast to the majority of European countries where the trend for attracting investment in renewables was more positive.
