EU pumps extra €222.7m into LIFE Programme

The European Commission has contributed an additional €222.7m to the latest round of project funding for the EU LIFE Programme bumping up the total available to €398.6m

The European Commission has contributed an additional €222.7m to the latest round of project funding for the EU LIFE Programme bumping up the total available to €398.6m. In this round, the money will go to 144 sustainability and low-carbon projects across 23 EU member states.

Projects due to receive a slice of the funding include a plan to support biodiversity in the UK (€22m), a scheme to restore rivers in Sweden (€13m) and a project to boost plastics recycling in the Netherlands (€13m).
