The European Commission will publish draft guidance for EU member states to implement its proposed new criteria for endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDC) in the first half of 2017.

EU health commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis confirmed the timetable at an EU Agriculture Council meeting on Monday, in response to a request from the Netherlands to create a working group to discuss guidance to assess EDC risks “in a harmonised way” across the bloc.
